Remove Content

First off, please keep in mind that our service is meant as a tool for users. All imported articles include attribution wherever they appear (even if it just the opening snippet) and we always link to the original article specified in the RSS feed. We aim to clearly communicate the source of the data, and in doing so, hope to benefit our users and benefit the sites we import content from by sending visitors over.

Although we run ads on our sites, we do not consider it a commercial service. The idea is more to offer useful resources pursuant to different topics of interest. The advertisements on the sites simply are meant to cover the costs associated with registering domain names and our hosting. Should our monthly advertising revenue cover those costs, we will disable the advertisements for the remainder of the month.

Of course, if you would still like to remove your content from our site, we will be more then happy to respect your decision and remove your content.

The first step for fastest results is simply to modify your robots.txt file. Our feed reader respects the definitions found in this file. Our feed reader's agent string is "MaxMoFeedReader" (you can read more about our feed reader and its features by going to the feed reader page). To block future aggregation, simply add the following lines to your robots.txt file (located at your domain root: http://www.domain.com/robots.txt):

User-agent: MaxMoFeedReader
Disallow: /address/atom.xml

(Substitute the path to your RSS/XML feed in place of the example included.)

Once that code has been added, the feed reader will parse it and will no longer import your feed (it will no longer download feed or add articles from it).

If you cannot access your domains root to create a robots.txt file or would like to go further and have existing content removed from our site, please e-mail us with your feed address: content@maxmo.net

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail us.
